When it comes to concrete slabs there are always certain points that we like to cover with potential clients. The first thing that we want to know is how you would like us to fix the issue. Most people would say I want the less expensive option and the quickest fix that there is. That would be just sealing the cracks and calling it a day. Unfortunately, that is not always an option when we are talking about a problem that keeps coming up. Sometimes we are literally going to have to go ahead and remove the slab in favor of a new one. There are a couple of things that we are going to have to go through before we get to this point.

Assessing The Damage

We can be the best in the business. As a matter of fact, that is what we think of ourselves as. The thing is if we are not able to properly asses the damage and provide a viable solution for you the results that we will be able to obtain are probably going to be less then ideal. As we mentioned we are going to have to look into how deep certain cracks are and whether or not the same cracks continue to form in the same spot.

Sealing The Cracks

For the most part, you are not going to want to freak out over a small crack that is a smart thing to do. The problem though is that if you allow a small crack to develop what we could have easily covered just as a quick seal project could turn into a lot more if the crack continues to eat at the concrete. If you want to make sure that we can get through a quick fix you will probably want to call us early in the process.

Major Repairs

If you are having constant issues in a very specific area there are just a couple of possible explanations. Most of the time what ends up happening is that the original terrain that concrete surface is laid over is not even. This can be due to a variety of factors. What we are going to end up doing is removing the entire concrete slab so that we can make sure to even out the original terrain. Once we are able to get that done what we are going to do is to replace the concrete slab with a new one.

Repairs Should Not Be Overly Common

One of the main reasons why people actually end up choosing to go with concrete over asphalt or other types of surfaces is that concrete is much more durable. Therefore, repairs should not be something that is common. If you feel that you are having to get repairs done almost on a regular basis there is probably a bigger problem that you are going to have to deal with. If you are tired of companies that just don’t find a solution for you, give us a call.
